From 2011 to present, there is an alarming rate of Malware growth from 46,000,000 to 855,000,000 in 2021. That is an alarming rate of growth by any standard. Most of these threats are cloaked as legitimate files or offers. Without good antivirus protection and behavior detection your antivirus program will find it difficult to keep up with this enormous growth.
PUA or Potentially Unwanted Applications are on the rise. These programs are either spyware or malware so resist the temptation to install any program that professes to be your “solution” to your problem. It probably isnt true and this will cost you your hard earned dollars to clean and ensure that your computer system is safe.
What is the answer ? Dont click on anything unless you know where it comes from and you are confident that the person sending it has not been compromised. Sometimes its wise to ask the person sending the attachment if they sent it.
